For us, being Du Bon Côté means rethinking the way we dress and favouring short production runs. That's why we've chosen to work with local partners and French materials. From the outset, we've made Made in France the DNA of our brand, and we're continuing to develop new top-of-the-range items.
Pre-ordering your Du Bon Côté shirt
Following in the footsteps of other French brands that are adopting a more responsible production model, we have chosen to move towards a production model that reflects our values. Pre-ordering is a way of limiting production costs and our environmental impact. It's good news for you too, as you'll benefit from much better value for money!
The La Belliloise shirt, a breath of freedom
Made from 100% linen, our new shirt is ideal for the warm weather ahead. It's named after Belle-île-en-Mer, an island in southern Brittany whose natural landscapes make you want to get away from it all.
Your ideal spring shirt
The first collection of Du Bon Côté shirts was mainly made from cotton and organic cotton, with one shirt containing bamboo fibre. We wanted to innovate again in terms of materials by inviting you to enjoy the fine weather with the Belliloise, our new linen shirt.
The cut is simple but always snug, and the fit is impeccable, so you can wear it with a suit with no problem.
We've taken on some of our favourite details, like the French collar, a great classic in men's shirts. Particularly aesthetic and clean, it suits all styles, tie or no tie. It suits every figure and can even be used to elongate shorter faces, so you're sure to look your best.
We've also selected pearly buttons, which add a subtle touch of chic to this immaculate white shirt.
French 100% linen
And to go the whole hog, we've selected a 100% French linen fabric thanks to the 360 linen initiative. Led by the Velcorex group with the companies Philea, Tissage des chaumes and Emanuel Lang. France is the world's leading producer of flax, but had lost the precious know-how needed to weave this material. Since 2020, local companies have been working to revive linen weaving in France, with numerous French and European quality labels. It's thanks to this desire to relocalise the manufacturing stages that we can offer you a garment made entirely in France.
Three facts about flax:
1. It is grown in France (mainly in Normandy and Hauts-de-France), and therefore has little impact on the environment.
2. It is guaranteed GMO-free and naturally controls disease
3. It is a natural and biodegradable fibre
Linfini has taken the initiative of investing in the Morlaix region to revive the Breton linen industry. We hope to be able to offer you a Breton linen shirt very soon!
How do I pre-order my Du Bon Côté shirt?
Go to the Belliloise product sheet and proceed as for a classic purchase. Our aim is to reach 100 pre-orders when we launch production, so this is a very limited series.
Production will start in April, so we can start delivering in mid-May!
