Du Bon Côté is already 1 year old!

A promising start for our ethical brand

In search of more meaning and truly high-quality shirts, Mickaël and Bastien decided to launch Du Bon Côté. Inspired by their love of Brittany and keen to offer ethical fashion in response to the challenges posed by the covid-19 crisis, they founded a brand that reflects both timeless elegance and a commitment to the environment. The name of each shirt is a tribute to their region, symbolising authenticity and attachment to their homeland.

The duo, sharing a common passion for the shirt as a commercial, decided to focus their talent and vision on this garment. In 2022, Mickaël and Bastien designed a diverse collection of 9 shirts, offering straight and slim cuts for all men, in a range of sizes from S to XXXL. This first line embodied their desire to speak to every man, celebrating diversity and inclusivity.

The realization of their dream came in November 2022, with the launch of the Du Bon Côté online shop, coinciding with their participation in the MIF expo - the Made in France trade fair. This event marked the start of their adventure in French manufacturing, providing a platform to meet other passionate entrepreneurs and like-minded customers. Right from the start, they committed to offering free delivery and returns in mainland France, making responsible fashion easily accessible.

A year of growth and innovation at DBC

This first year has been a real marathon (not a sprint) punctuated by successes and learning experiences. Orders have been pouring in, especially in the run-up to Christmas, testifying to our customers' warm welcome and their interest in Made in France.

Your enthusiasm for our newcomers - t-shirts, polo shirts and sweatshirts - proved that DBC style has a place in every wardrobe. And for those looking to stand out from the crowd, our made-to-measure shirts service was the crowning glory of our offer, following a course in taking measurements, proving that made-to-measure is no joke at DBC.Trust is earned! That's why all our shirts now come with a 2-year guarantee (discover our guarantee by clicking here), a guarantee of quality that you won't find in brands manufactured abroad.

In 2023, we also forged strong links with local sports clubs, such as Béliers de Kemper and US Concarneau, strengthening our local roots and community support. At the same time, our membership of The French Card underlines our commitment to a network of like-minded brands.

Let's talk about our showroom. It's not just a place to discover our range, but a real Du Bon Côté cocoon where customers and staff can meet and share ideas about Made in France. The opening of this space was one of the highlights of our year, as was the arrival of our work-study students Margaux and Killian (Click here to find out more!), who brought their freshness and dynamism to the team.

Our second appearance at the Made in France trade fair confirmed our place as one of the sector's leading brands. From neighbouring stands to participation in round table discussions, DBC continues to make its mark in the world of ethical fashion.

Between product development, local commitment and guaranteed quality, Du Bon Côté has not been idle. And with you by our side, the adventure is just beginning. Ready for what's next?

What's next for us?

DBC, a benchmark in ethical fashion and top-of-the-range shirts

After a year of hard work, we're not stopping there! We're embarking on a quest for transparency to reveal the inner workings of our shirts and our passionate partners. But that's not all! 2024 will see the arrival of some new additions to our range (and not just shirts). We also dream of increasing our physical presence to chat with you and let you try on all our menswear in the comfort of a dedicated space. In this new year, we're also keen to introduce you to other French nuggets that we love (clothes, accessories and maybe even items for the home, who knows?).

Du Bon Côté classics revisited in a new collection

For the new collection, we've pulled out all the stops: each model has been fine-tuned to adopt a universal fit (that fits everyone, we promise!). Gone are the old models, replaced by the new ones in our online shop, with an improved shopping experience.

Expect photos that capture the essence of DBC and highlight those little details that make all the difference. And of course, our size guide is here to help you choose, although we're always here to help if you need us!Don't worry about La Belliloise, La Concarnoise and La Bigoudène: these stars of our catalogue will remain as they are!

Spring cleaning at Du Bon Côté

As the Du Bon Côté team prepares to welcome spring with a brand new collection, a unique opportunity presents itself for our customers. Between making room for innovation and maintaining our commitment to fair and equitable pricing, we're offering you an exceptional chance to acquire quality pieces.

DBC's fair pricing policy

With the arrival of our new collection scheduled for spring, it's time for us to make a little room in our stock. We currently still have a wide range of styles in all cuts and sizes, from S to XXXL, just waiting to find their new owner. Before we can present our brand new shirts with their tailored fit, we have to say goodbye to our current stocks. Each piece is designed with the care and quality you've come to expect from us, offering a unique opportunity before the big launch of our reinvented collection for spring.

We wanted to remind you that Du Bon Côté is committed to offering fair prices all year round, avoiding the usual sales in favour of a fairer and more sustainable approach. We offer more attractive prices to our customers for pre-orders, while maintaining a transparent and fair pricing policy. This policy covers fair pay for employees in France, the cost of high-quality local raw materials, such as our French 100 % linen, and savings on ancillary costs, such as transport, even allowing us to offer delivery.

Our approach supports the national economy, creates jobs, and guarantees the quality and durability of our products. At DBC, investing in our shirts means choosing quality, fairness and responsibility.
