Buy a Du Bon Côté shirt today, wear it for life

All our shirts come with a 2-year guarantee, thanks to the expertise and knowledge of our suppliers. In this article, we explain the reasons for this guarantee and the quality guarantees provided by our partners.

Why guarantee shirts On the right side?

Committed to responsible French manufacturing, we thought it made sense to guarantee that our products would last for two years after purchase.

The appearance of the fabric and the hold of the seams are guaranteed, so you can wear your shirt for a variety of occasions without fear of damaging it after the third wash. The buttonholes and buttons are also designed by skilled craftsmen and will therefore be particularly resistant. The Du Bon Côté logo, embroidered on the cuff and on the chest for certain models, won't fray or fade over time.

By following our washing and care recommendations, displayed on the website and on the garment label, your shirt will last for years. If a manufacturing defect or abnormal deterioration occurs within the first two years, we undertake to replace your shirt with an identical one. If we no longer have this item in stock, we will offer you a product of equivalent value.

If you have accidentally stained, cut or damaged your shirt, or if you have not followed the care instructions, the guarantee cannot be applied. If the garment is no longer covered by the guarantee, we strongly advise you to have it repaired if possible.

We are convinced that the quality of our products is a guarantee of sustainability, which will also encourage you to look at fashion in a different way. Read on to find out more about our production chain and our partners.

The choice of manufacture 100% French

Although we have chosen to market Du Bon Côté shirts without the Origine France Garantie certification, our actions are proof of a concrete commitment.
All our partners are located in France, mainly in the Rhône-Alpes and Mayenne regions. They have a unique know-how that has been tried and tested for several decades, and comply with a wide range of regulations and quality requirements.
The words "Made in France" or "fabriquée en France" must not mislead the consumer. That's why we use it to talk about our shirts, trying to be as transparent as possible about how we make them.

High-quality Made in France fabrics

The textiles used in our shirts are manufactured by a responsible company

All the fabrics used in Du Bon Côté shirts are made in the Rhône-Alpes region, where the textile industry plays an important role. With 74 years of know-how and a taste for innovation, our partner offers a wide catalogue of fabrics, specially designed for shirts, blouses and blouses.

A real advocate of local manufacturing, the company produces 1 million metres of "Made in France" fabric a year. It is committed to the traceability of raw materials, the use of risk-free products during fabric processing, reducing its carbon footprint and preserving jobs in the region.
It is also a member of French TEX and alter-TEX, networks of textile companies whose aim is to raise the profile of the French textile industry and its ethical and solidarity-based commitments.

Responsible labels for our French shirts

The fabrics of our Prestige and Malouine shirts are made from 100% organic or Fairtrade cotton (organic cotton is grown without pesticides or heavy metals and Fairtrade cotton respects Fairtrade rules).

A large proportion of our models, such as the Concarnoise, Guingampaise, Lorientaise, Rennaise and Vannetaise, are designed in fabrics incorporating recycled polyester. Our supplier guarantees the traceability of this material with labels such as NewLife™ (fibre created from recycled plastic bottles), SEAQUAL® (fibre created from plastic bottles and waste found in the sea) or Lycra® T400® EcoMade (a composition combining plant fibres and recycled plastic fibres).

La Brestoise is an exception, with a bamboo fibre fabric renowned for its pleasant, soft and silky feel.

Promoting the relocation of French know-how

Only the Belliloise fabric is made elsewhere. This flax fibre, grown in France, is sent directly to a weaving company in Alsace once it has been harvested. It is then spun, wound, warped, sized and woven. As a member of the 360 LIN initiative, it is helping to relocate the entire flax industry (from cultivation to weaving).

Our shirts are made in a factory with unique expertise

We chose our production plant for the quality of its workmanship, but also for its proximity (only 280 kilometres from the Du Bon Côté premises!).

With over 60 years' experience and a production workforce of 60, it makes more than 300 pieces every day. This Laval-based company supports us in the design and production of our shirts.
It is made up of 3 pillars of expertise: pattern-making, finishing and logistics, which has enabled us to create a unique product that meets our expectations. French know-how and the high standards set by the factory are evident at every stage of the shirt-making process.

A partner of choice in our region

What better way to show our Breton identity loud and clear than to call on a local company to embroider our logos? This company has 20 years' experience in the field of embroidery, and has worked on fire brigade, ambulance and SAMU uniforms. Located in Morbihan, this is our closest partner and the one who puts the finishing touches to the Du Bon Côté shirt!
